In a significant step towards modernizing the infrastructure of a prestigious private school, we have successfully completed the installation of a new gas main and coordinated the upgrade of the boiler room.

​Project Overview

As part of a comprehensive design and installation project at a prestigious private school, we have successfully installed a new 180mm MDPE gas main, extending 60 meters from the boundary to the boiler room. This installation is a precursor to our summer project, which aims to upgrade the outdated 1000kW oil-fired boiler plant room to a state-of-the-art gas-fired system.

Installation Details

All aspects of the installation, including testing, trenching depth, back-filling, and finishing, have been meticulously completed in accordance with the Institution of Gas Engineers standards. The entire project was executed and fully reinstated over the school Easter holidays, ensuring minimal disruption to the school’s operations.

Consultancy and Coordination

In addition to our design and consultancy services, we coordinated the installation of a new, appropriately sized gas meter and arranged for a new supply connection to the local gas network. By liaising directly with the utilities company and gas supplier, we alleviated the burden on the school’s estates department, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free transition.
