To ensure continued efficiency of commercial refrigeration systems we recommend planned maintenance checks are carried out in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations.

Complying with EU Legislation on F-Gas Refrigerants and Ozone Depleting Substances

EU Regulation 517/2014 (also known as F-Gas regulations) specifies that regular planned maintenance is carried out with respect to commercial refrigeration equipment. The frequency of maintenance checks will depend on the type of refrigeration equipment and how it is utilised.

During refrigeration maintenance visits, our commercial Refrigeration Engineers will service and test all major components and safety devices and undertake any minor repairs which are needed to prevent breakdown as well as carry out the statutory refrigerant leak checking procedures required under the F-gas regulations for refrigerants and Ozone Depleting Substances.

F-Gas Regulations

Accredited by REFCOM for the safe handling of refrigerants, we can safely carry out all aspects of the F-Gas Regulations.

Under current F-Gas Regulations, operators of stationary refrigerating equipment have to:

  • Prevent leakage – leaks are to be repaired as soon as possible by certified personnel – and keep maintenance records detailing quantity and type of F-Gas used.
  • Carry out a regular fixed schedule of leak testing on equipment and systems containing refrigerant.
  • ensure their recycling, reclamation or destruction.
