We are looking for an experienced heating engineer to expand their knowledge and skills into the world of renewable energy technologies, who wants to work on air source and ground source heat pumps.
We will provide additional technical training, including gas-safe, manufacturers courses and professional development.

Hours of Work: 40 hours a week (0800 to 1630)

Holidays: 23 days + bank holidays
Standby service: On call rota (additional payment)

Location Ideally based around Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire border. Someone who is happy to travel in the home counties and London on occasion as required.
Responsibilities:
- Planned service work to commercial and domestic combustion appliances (boilers, water heaters etc) renewables and heating systems, plumbing and general HVAC plant and equipment.
- Installation of air source heat pumps, both residential and commercial. Working up to stage 1 design surveys and complete start to finish involvement in certain projects.
- Installation and replacement of various HVAC appliances under small works projects, including pipework and plumbing installation or replacement.
- General fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Able to work safely at all times, and to write and develop RAMS and Safe Systems of Work in line with Health and Safety guidelines, procedures and practices.
- Maintain up to date records of all work carried out on plant and equipment on our internal field service and management systems.
- Be part of the out of working hours emergency call out rota and be flexible outside of core working hours.

Requirements and Skills
- A desire for self-improvement and professional development, including heat pump training and technical development.
- Commercial and residential plumbing and pipework installation.
- The necessary character to ensure every installation is carried out safely and efficiently and is always a job to be proud of.
- Relevant qualifications.
- Ability to review and survey sites of potential new or replacement systems to provide sufficient information for a proposal to be constructed.
- A practical and theoretical understanding of heating and plumbing systems within commercial and residential building services environments.
- Ability to carry out general planned maintenance works to HVAC plant & equipment to current standards (i.e., SFG20 or manufacturer specification).
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, customers and to work as part of a team.
- Confident in abilities and up to date with all relevant industry legislation.
- Full driving licence.
- Willingness to learn and to take part in any additional training identified.
- Ability to manage and maintain accurate and up to date records of all work carried out on plant and equipment utilising our field service software system and occasional paper-based site logs where necessary.
